Within the project of improving access to education in Al-Wazi’ah district and the livelihoods of fishermen’s HHs in Mocha, which is implemented by (BCFHD),and funded by YHF, BCFHD established the Community mobilization activity for fishermen  in Mocha.

Mr. Al-Samadi, the project officer, explained that the event targeting fishermen category aimed at raising awareness and forming committees representing the beneficiaries. It was attended by 71 people (58 males and 13 females)

He added: After the attendees were made aware of the project, its objectives, its duration, the complaints mechanism and the task of the community committees, the list submitted by the local authority was recommended.

He pointed out that the formed committee, which consists of 5 males and 3 females, was formed to contribute in selecting beneficiaries, following up the implementation of the project phases, and to solve any problem that may occur.

It is worth mentioning that the project targets 500 fishermen’s HHs in Mocha district.
