Bena Charity for Human Development today handed over 49 waste containers to the Cleaning and Improvement Fund in Taiz Governorate, to help address the shortage of waste management resources in Salah District and support public sanitation efforts in targeted areas.
The handover ceremony took place in the presence of representatives from the local authorities in Salah District, as well as officials from the association and the Cleaning and Improvement Fund. The activity reflects the joint coordination efforts to improve environmental health and hygiene services for displaced persons and host communities.
This initiative is part of the project titled:
“IDPs Sites Management and Coordination and Provision of Lifesaving WASH and Shelter Assistance (Salh-Taiz) and Protection Assistance (AIMukha and Mawza – West Coast) to Vulnerable IDPs and HC”, funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF).
The intervention aims to strengthen sanitation infrastructure, reduce waste accumulation, and enhance public health and living conditions in Salah District, especially in light of the ongoing challenges facing the city.
