Oxfam – Yemen, in partnership with Bena Charity for Human Development (BCFHD), organized a specialized training workshop on Anti-Corruption and Fraud, targeting the Foundation’s staff, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen principles of transparency, integrity, and good governance.
The training was delivered by Mr. Othman Basuhaib, Representative of the Anti-Corruption Unit at Oxfam Yemen, who covered several key topics including the concept and types of corruption, early detection mechanisms, reporting and response procedures, as well as international standards and best practices related to anti-fraud and anti-corruption in the humanitarian sector.
The workshop aimed to raise participants’ awareness on the importance of transparency and accountability throughout all stages of project implementation, while promoting a culture of reporting and collective responsibility in safeguarding resources and beneficiaries’ rights.
Participants expressed their appreciation for this initiative, emphasizing its role in fostering trust and integrity within the humanitarian work environment and affirming their commitment to apply the knowledge and skills gained in their daily tasks.
This training comes within the framework of the continuous efforts of Oxfam and Bena Charity to build the capacities of humanitarian workers and ensure adherence to ethical and administrative standards that enhance transparency and reduce the risk of corruption and fraud.
