Bena Charity, in Partnership with Save the Children, Celebrates Universal Children’s Day Under the Theme: “My Day… My Rights”

Bena Charity for Human Development (BCFHD), in partnership with Save the Children and in coordination with the Social Affairs and Labor Office in the governorate, celebrated Universal Children’s Day 2025 under the theme “My Day… My Rights” at Al-Falah School in Al-Ain area, Al-Mawaset District.

The event featured remarkable participation from children, who performed short theatrical sketches, sang songs, and delivered expressive messages highlighting their rights, aspirations, and hopes for a safer future that ensures learning, protection, and a life of dignity. Their active involvement underscored the central role of children in conveying the messages of Universal Children’s Day, as they are the rights-holders and their voices are the most essential.

This celebration comes as part of the activities of the project “Integrated Response Project addressing nutrition and protection needs in crisis-affected areas”, implemented in partnership with Save the Children and supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada.

These activities aim to raise awareness of children’s rights, empower children to express themselves, and foster safe, supportive educational and community environments. They also seek to strengthen the role of families and communities in protecting children from all forms of violence, neglect, and exploitation, contributing to broader efforts to build a better future for children across the governorate.
