BCFHD Continues Implementation of Cash-for-Work Activities in Al-Ma’afer and Maqbanah Districts, Taiz Governorate

Bena charity for Human Development (BCFHD), in partnership with Oxfam, continues the implementation of Cash-for-Work activities under the project “Building Resilience Through Integrated Community-Based and Humanitarian Systems Transformation and Leadership in Yemen”, funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). The activities are being carried out in the Al-Ma’afer and Maqbanah districts of Taiz Governorate.

The intervention targets 121 beneficiaries in Al-Sha’ubah sub-district (Al-Ma’afer) and 150 beneficiaries in Al-Barashah sub-district (Maqbanah), with the aim of improving livelihoods and supporting local communities through the provision of temporary job opportunities that strengthen household resilience amid ongoing economic challenges.

The ongoing Cash-for-Work activities include:
Paving the Ghayl Al-Kassar road in Al-Sha’ubah – Al-Ma’afer District.
Paving the Maghram Al-Raas villages road in Al-Barashah – Maqbanah District.

Through these interventions, the project aims to enhance access to essential services and create a tangible positive impact on local infrastructure, contributing to alleviating the hardships faced by residents and improving living conditions in the targeted communities.
