The community center of Bena Charity for Human Development (BCFHD) carried out a series of activities and events during the “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence and Cyber Extortion” campaign. These activities were implemented under the project “Enhancing Resilience through the Provision of Lifesaving Assistance Multi-Sectoral (FSAC, WASH, Protection, and CCCM) to Vulnerable IDPs and Host Communities in Al Qahirah, Maqbanah, and Ash Shamayatayn Districts”, funded by Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF).
During the 16-day period, the center organized free training courses in sewing for 16 trainees and in hairdressing for 14 trainees, with the goal of economically empowering women and equipping them with professional skills that can help improve their income sources.
The center also organized a group psychosocial support session titled “Strategies for Coping with Psychological Stress,” aimed at enhancing women’s ability to adapt and overcome daily challenges.
These activities come as part of BCFHD’s efforts to raise awareness, strengthen protection, and empower women and girls during the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign.
