Bena Charity for Human Development (BCFHD) has launched the Training of Trainers (ToT) activity as part of the project “Empowering Out of School Children (OOSC) and Children at Risk of Dropping Out (CRDO) through formal and non-formal education, child protection and psychosocial support (PSS) services in four districts of Taiz Governorate, Yemen”, implemented in partnership with War Child and supported by the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO), in Taiz Governorate.
The workshop was attended by Mr. Abdulwasea Shaddad, Director of the Governorate’s Education Office, and Mr. Bajash Al-Makhlafi, Deputy Director of the Education Office, underscoring the importance of institutional integration and support for the education sector in emergency contexts.
Representing Bena Charity, the Vice Chairman of BCFHD, Mr. Fouad Abduldaim, along with the project team, also attended the workshop. The session included an overview of the training objectives, key thematic areas, and its role in building the capacities of educational personnel and enabling them to implement non-formal education activities in accordance with approved standards.
The Training of Trainers aims to strengthen participants’ skills in Education in Emergencies, Child Protection, and Psychosocial Support, contributing to improved quality of educational interventions and ensuring access to services for the most vulnerable children, particularly those affected by conflict and displacement.
Participants emphasized the importance of such trainings in enhancing project sustainability, improving the efficiency of local cadres, and supporting efforts to reduce school dropout rates and reintegrate out-of-school children into a safe and inclusive learning environment.
This activity is part of a series of interventions being implemented across the five targeted districts in the governorate, reflecting Bena Charity’s and its partners’ commitment to supporting education as a fundamental pillar for protection, recovery, and future building.
