BCFHD Distributes Livestock Packages to 60 Vulnerable Households in Al-Ashamila Sub-District, Maqbanah District

Bena Charity for Human Development (BCFHD) has implemented an activity to distribute livestock packages to 60 of the most vulnerable households in Al-Ashamila Sub-District, Maqbanah District, Taiz Governorate, as part of the project
“Enhancing Resilience through the Provision of Lifesaving Multi-Sectoral Assistance (Food Security and Agriculture, WASH, Protection, and Camp Coordination and Camp Management) to Vulnerable IDPs and Host Communities in Al-Qahirah, Maqbanah, and Ash Shamayatayn Districts, Taiz Governorate,” funded by Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF).

Each household received a livestock package consisting of four (4) sheep, 150 kilograms of concentrated animal feed, and three (3) salt licks, aimed at supporting livestock-based livelihoods and enhancing households’ capacity to generate sustainable income and improve food security.

This activity seeks to empower conflict-affected and vulnerable families by providing them with productive assets, strengthening self-reliance, and reducing economic vulnerability amid the challenging humanitarian conditions.

The distribution was conducted in line with Food Security and Agriculture Cluster standards and Accountability to Affected Populations principles, while ensuring the integration of protection and gender considerations throughout the implementation process.

BCFHD reaffirms its commitment to continuing the implementation of quality livelihood and food security interventions that contribute to strengthening the resilience and improving the living conditions of the most vulnerable families in Maqbanah District and other targeted areas.
