Bena Charity Implements the Fifth Batch of Emergency Food Assistance through Unconditional Cash in Al-Qahirah District.

As part of its ongoing humanitarian response, Bena Charity for Human Development (BCFHD) has implemented the fifth batch of emergency food assistance through unconditional cash transfers targeting the most vulnerable families in Al-Qahirah District, Taiz Governorate. This activity is carried out under the project
“Enhancing Resilience through the Provision of Lifesaving Multi-Sectoral Assistance (Food Security and Agriculture, WASH, Protection, and Camp Coordination and Camp Management) to Vulnerable IDPs and Host Communities in Al-Qahirah, Maqbanah, and Ash Shamayatayn Districts,” funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF).

This fifth batch reached 312 households from internally displaced persons (IDPs), host community members, and marginalized groups, in accordance with Food Security and Agriculture Cluster (FSAC) standards. The assistance enables beneficiary families to meet their essential food needs and mitigates the impact of deteriorating living and economic conditions.

The implementation of this batch was accompanied by community awareness activities, during which beneficiaries were informed about their rights, the project components, and the Complaints and Feedback Mechanism. Informational materials and complaint cards were also distributed to strengthen Accountability to Affected Populations and ensure transparency throughout the assistance process.

BCFHD emphasized that the continuation of this activity reflects its commitment to supporting the most vulnerable households and strengthening their resilience amid the difficult humanitarian situation in Taiz Governorate, in close coordination with relevant stakeholders.

The fifth batch forms part of a series of food security interventions implemented under the project, aiming to alleviate suffering and enhance food security for affected families, thereby contributing to improved household stability.
