Bena Charity for Human Development (BCFHD) has continued the implementation of the project
“Enhancing Resilience through the Provision of Lifesaving Multi-Sectoral Assistance (Food Security and Agriculture, WASH, Protection, and Camp Coordination and Camp Management) to Vulnerable IDPs and Host Communities in Al-Qahirah, Maqbanah, and Ash Shamayatayn Districts,” funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF), by distributing the third batch of Unconditional Cash Transfers (UCT) to 60 targeted families benefiting from livestock packages in Maqbanah District, Taiz Governorate.
This intervention falls under the Food Security and Agriculture (FSAC) component of the project and aims to strengthen the resilience of beneficiary households by supporting the protection and sustainability of productive assets provided through livestock-related activities, while contributing to improved income generation and food security.
The distributed cash assistance enables beneficiary families to cover essential needs related to animal feed and basic veterinary services, enhance livestock productivity, and ensure the continuity of their livelihoods, thereby reducing their vulnerability to ongoing economic and humanitarian shocks.
The distribution process was accompanied by awareness-raising sessions for beneficiaries on the objectives of the intervention, as well as information on the Complaints and Feedback Mechanism, in line with Accountability to Affected Populations standards and protection principles adopted throughout the project implementation.
