Oxfam Delegation Reviews the Implementation of Cash-for-Work Activities in Al-Sha’ubah, Al-Ma’afer District.

An Oxfam delegation conducted a field visit today to the implementation sites of the Cash-for-Work activity in Al-Sha’ubah sub-district, Al-Ma’afer District, as part of ongoing field monitoring and evaluation of project activities.

The delegation included Ms. Marta Garcia, Humanitarian Affairs Coordinator at Oxfam; Mr. Francesc Cortada, Oxfam’s General Director; Mr. Mike Kosgei, Programs Director; Mr. Ferran Puig, Oxfam Country Director – Yemen; in addition to Eng. Mohammed Hassan, Programs Manager at Oxfam – Taiz; and Mr. Abdullah Lutf, Food Security and Livelihoods Team Leader at Oxfam – Taiz.

During the visit, the delegation reviewed the Cash-for-Work implementation sites related to the rehabilitation of rugged roads, including Ghayl Al-Kassar Road and the roads serving the villages of Al-Wuhaiz, Nakh’aan, Al-Aridhah, and Kawkab. A detailed briefing was provided on the progress of implementation and the level of completion achieved on the targeted roads.

At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation expressed its satisfaction and appreciation for the quality and standard of the works implemented, commending the efforts of the field teams and the positive impact of these interventions on improving local infrastructure and supporting community livelihoods.
