Bena Charity for Human Development (BCFHD) today received a delegation from Oxfam at its headquarters in Taiz Governorate, as part of efforts to strengthen partnership and coordination, and to review the ongoing collaboration between both organizations within joint humanitarian and development projects.
The Oxfam delegation included Ms. Marta Garcia, Humanitarian Affairs Coordinator; Mr. Francesc Cortada, Oxfam General Director; Mr. Mike Kosgei, Programs Director; Mr. Ferran Puig, Oxfam Country Director – Yemen; in addition to Eng. Mohammed Hassan, Programs Manager at Oxfam – Taiz; and Mr. Abdullah Lutf, Food Security and Livelihoods Team Leader at Oxfam – Taiz.
During the visit, a joint meeting was held to discuss ways to enhance the effectiveness of future interventions and further develop mechanisms for joint action, aiming to expand humanitarian impact and ensure more efficient and responsive interventions tailored to the needs of targeted communities.
The Oxfam delegation expressed its appreciation for the efforts exerted by BCFHD and the high level of organization and implementation of activities and programs, emphasizing the importance of continuing and strengthening the partnership to achieve sustainable and positive outcomes for the most vulnerable groups in Taiz Governorate.
This visit comes within the framework of enhancing institutional coordination and exchanging expertise, ensuring improved quality and effectiveness of humanitarian and development interventions in line with established standards.
