Delegation from the Ministry of Education Reviews the Progress of Compensatory Education Classes in Mawza’a District

A delegation from the Ministry of Education conducted a field visit to the compensatory education classes in Mawza’a District, implemented by Bena Charity for Human Development in partnership with War Child and supported by the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO). The visit forms part of ongoing monitoring efforts aimed at enhancing the quality of educational interventions and ensuring the effectiveness of programs targeting children who have dropped out of school.

The visiting delegation included Dr. Aref Al-Qutaibi, Director General of the Compensatory Education Department at the Ministry; Dr. Mohammed Basaleem, Head of the Technical Office at the Ministry of Education; and Dr. Fadl Abdullah, Assistant Deputy Minister for the Projects and Equipment Sector.

They were received by Mr. Tawfiq Abdulkhabeer, Secretary-General of Bena Charity; Mr. Abdulalam Aqlan, Education Officer for the project; Mr. Saleh Al-Rawdi, Director of the Executive Unit for IDP Sites in Mawza’a District; and Mr. Fawaz Mohammed Salem, Head of the Compensatory Education Department in the district.

The visit covered compensatory education classes in Al-Tamara and Al-Majash Al-Asfal sites, where the delegation reviewed the progress of the educational process, the level of commitment of teaching staff to implementing the compensatory curriculum, and the extent of students’ engagement and benefit from the program. The visit also included discussions on key challenges and ways to enhance performance quality and improve the learning environment.

This visit comes within the framework of joint efforts to support compensatory education pathways, contributing to the reintegration of out-of-school children into the education system and enabling them to continue their learning in a safe and supportive environment.
