Bena Charity for Human Development (BCFHD), in partnership with Save the Children and in coordination with the Child Protection AoR – Taiz Hub, conducted a refresher training workshop for CP AoR Partners on Child Protection in Emergencies (CPiE).
The one-day workshop targeted 22 participants from 22 organizations working in the protection sector in Taiz Hub and aimed to enhance partners’ knowledge and capacities on CPiE concepts, key child protection risks, and the core principles of psychosocial support as a preventive approach and early response.
The workshop also focused on strengthening coordination among partners to improve the quality of services provided to children at risk, through activating mutual referrals and ensuring integrated responses within the targeted districts, thereby contributing to a comprehensive and effective response to children’s needs.
This workshop was implemented as part of the Protection Component under the project of “Integrated Nutrition and Protection Response to the Complex Crisis in Taiz Governorate (Al-Mawaset, Al-Ma’afer, and Maqbanah districts), implemented in partnership with Save the Children and supported by Global Affairs Canada.
The workshop was conducted in the presence of the Child Protection AoR Co-Cooordinator, who emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination and collaborative action among partners to improve responses to child protection risks in emergency settings.
