As part of its ongoing efforts to support livelihoods and enhance resilience, Bena charity for Human Development (BCFHD) has continued the distribution of conditional cash transfers in the fifth round of the Cash-for-Work initiative. This activity is funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and implemented in partnership with Oxfam.
The distribution targeted 180 beneficiaries in Maqbanah and Al-Ma’afer districts, building on previous rounds aimed at improving the living conditions of vulnerable families and empowering them economically by providing financial support to help meet their essential needs.
The Cash-for-Work activity is part of the “Building Resilience Through Integrated Community-Based and Humanitarian Systems Transformation and Leadership in Yemen” project, which seeks to enhance the economic stability of the most vulnerable households and support local communities by creating temporary job opportunities that contribute to sustainable development.
