Bena Charity for Human Development has concluded the distribution of modern agricultural tools to farmers as part of the “Rural Agricultural Development 2” project, funded by Pure Hands.
The distribution targeted five villages in the districts of Jabal Habashi and Al-Ma’afer in Taiz Governorate, namely: Al-Mahaini and Al-Maeen in Bani Issa sub-district, Mukhaza in Bilad Al-Wafi (Jabal Habashi), and Al-Kadam and Al-Saheliya in Al-Kulaiba sub-district (Al-Ma’afer).
A total of 40 farmers (36 men and 4 women) benefited from the activity. Each farmer received a diesel-powered hand tiller, a drip irrigation system covering 1,600 square meters complete with accessories, and a 3,000-liter plastic water tank.
This initiative aims to support sustainable agricultural production and empower farmers to adopt modern irrigation technologies, contributing to improved livelihoods and enhanced food security in rural communities.
The distribution events witnessed wide official and community participation. Farmers expressed deep appreciation for this valuable support, describing it as a significant step toward strengthening their agricultural capacity and ensuring economic stability in their villages.
