Community Committee Training Workshop Concludes in Jabal Habashi and Al-Ma’afer Districts, Taiz

Benaa Charity for Human Development (BCFHD) successfully concluded a training workshop on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, for members of community committees in the districts of Jabal Habashi and Al-Ma’afer. The workshop was conducted as part of the “Rural Agricultural Development” project, funded by Pure Hands.

The three-day workshop, held from May 11 to 13, covered several key topics aimed at empowering community committees and enhancing their role in supporting agricultural sustainability and rural development. Training sessions included:

  • Conflict resolution in water resource management

  • Agricultural extension and post-harvest storage techniques

  • Marketing and promotion of agricultural products

  • The use of modern technology in agricultural marketing

The workshop aimed to build the capacity of committee members, enabling them to engage more effectively with farmers and respond to the challenges facing rural communities. It also sought to strengthen local mechanisms that contribute to the continuity of agricultural activities and improved livelihoods.

This initiative is part of a broader series of capacity-building and development activities implemented in five targeted agricultural villages across Taiz Governorate. The project reflects a strategic vision to enhance food security and promote sustainable agricultural development in Yemen’s rural areas.
