Bena charity for Human Development (BCFHD) has launched a foundational training program targeting 27 community health and nutrition volunteers from the Maqbanah and Al-Ma’afer districts in Taiz Governorate. This activity is part of “Integrated Nutrition and Protection Response to Complex Crisis in Taiz – Al Ma’afer, Al Mawasit, and Maqbanah districts” project, implemented in partnership with Save the Children and funded by Global Affairs Canda-International Humanitarian Assistance.
The nine-day training aims to equip volunteers with essential knowledge and skills in community health and nutrition concepts, and to strengthen their role in promoting health and nutrition awareness among households in targeted communities—ultimately contributing to improved health and nutrition indicators, particularly for children and women.
The activity is being implemented under the supervision of the Public Health and Population Office, as part of ongoing efforts to build the capacity of community-level workers and empower them to deliver effective and sustainable health and nutrition services in the targeted districts.
