On Saturday, July 19, Bena charity for Human Development (BCFHD) launched a foundational training program for 20 Mothers’ Support Group Leaders and 10 Fathers’ Support Group Leaders from the districts of Al-Mawaset, Maqbanah, and Al-Ma’afer in Taiz Governorate. This activity is part of the Integrated Response Project addressing nutrition and protection needs in crisis-affected areas, implemented in partnership with Save the Children and funded by Global Affairs Canda-International Humanitarian Assistance.
The five-day training aims to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills related to proper nutritional practices, and to strengthen their role in promoting health and nutrition awareness among families in the targeted communities. The initiative seeks to improve the health and nutrition status of breastfeeding women and children.
This activity is carried out under the supervision of the Public Health and Population Office, as part of ongoing efforts to build the capacity of community-based volunteers and empower them to provide effective and sustainable services that contribute to improving health and nutrition outcomes in the targeted districts.
