#WorldTeachersDay

Happy World Teachers’ Day to all our esteemed educators!

Annually observed on October 5th since 1994, World Teachers’ Day commemorates the signing of the 1966 UNESCO/ILO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers. This recommendation sets benchmarks regarding the rights and responsibilities of teachers, standards for their initial preparation and further education, recruitment, employment, and teaching and learning conditions. It’s a momentous occasion to celebrate the immense efforts exerted by the pioneers of education in building generations and shaping the future.

This year, World Teachers’ Day highlights a critically important theme: “Rethinking the teaching profession as a collaborative profession.” 🤝

At Bina Charity for Human Development (BCFHD), we firmly believe that education is the cornerstone of sustainable development. We recognize the challenges our teachers face and strive to support and empower them, providing educational environments that foster their professional growth and well-being.

Effective collaboration among teachers, partners, and the international community is the only way to establish inclusive, equitable, and resilient education systems, as advocated by leading international organizations such as UNESCO, the International Labour Organization (ILO), UNICEF, and Education International.

Let us all commit to strengthening the teaching profession and making it a truly collaborative one, as this will benefit our students, schools, and entire educational systems.

Together, we support and appreciate those who illuminate the paths of knowledge and learning.
