Bena Charity for Human Development (BCFHD) has continued the implementation of the project
“Enhancing Resilience through the Provision of Lifesaving Assistance Multi-Sectoral (FSAC, WASH, Protection, and CCCM) to Vulnerable IDPs and Host Communities in Al Qahirah, Maqbanah, and Ash Shamayatayn Districts”, funded by Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF), by distributing the second batch of emergency cash assistance linked to livelihoods to the most vulnerable households in Maqbanah District – Al-Ashamila sub-district, Taiz Governorate.
This second batch targeted 60 vulnerable households as part of the project’s Food Security and Agriculture (FSAC) component, aiming to strengthen household resilience by supporting livestock-based livelihoods, protecting productive assets, and improving food security and income levels.
The cash assistance aims to enable beneficiary households to access animal feed and essential veterinary services, improve livestock productivity and sustainability, and enhance self-reliance while reducing vulnerability to economic and humanitarian shocks.
The distribution was accompanied by awareness-raising activities for beneficiaries on the objectives of the intervention and the Complaints and Feedback Mechanism (CFM), in line with Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) standards and protection and gender principles.
BCFHD reaffirmed that the second batch forms part of an integrated package of multi-sectoral interventions implemented across Al-Qahirah, Maqbanah, and Ash Shamayatayn districts, contributing to supporting the most vulnerable families and strengthening their resilience.
