Bena Charity for Human Development (BCFHD), in collaboration with the Ayadi Al-Ata’a Initiative, has concluded a specialized training project on first aid and reproductive health in Maqbanah District. The project was implemented in partnership with Oxfam and with support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).
The project targeted 15 female trainees from rural areas of Maqbanah District, particularly from the most underserved communities that are remote, hard to reach, and far from health facilities. This intervention comes within ongoing efforts to enhance community health awareness and empower rural women to play an active role in serving their communities, especially in providing initial response during emergencies.
The training lasted for ten days and included a specialized, hands-on program that focused on building the practical capacities of beneficiaries in first aid and reproductive health, contributing to the improvement of community-based health services in rural and remote areas.
On the sidelines of the closing ceremony, first aid kits were distributed to the trainees to support the practical application of the training outcomes on the ground.
The closing ceremony was held under the patronage and in the presence of the Director General of Maqbanah District, with official, health, and community participation, underscoring the importance of partnership between local authorities and civil society organizations in strengthening community health response.
This project reflects Bena Charity’s commitment to supporting impactful initiatives aimed at raising health awareness, empowering women, and enhancing the resilience of rural communities amid the current humanitarian challenges.
