Delivery of a number of educational sites to the implementing contractor

The Local Authority in Al-Ma’afer District, Taiz Governorate, has handed over a number of educational sites to the contractor to commence school rehabilitation and renovation works under the project:
“Small Hands, Big Dreams: Empowering Out of School Children (OOSC) and Children at Risk of Dropping Out (CRDO) through Formal and Non-Formal Education, Child Protection and Psychosocial Support (PSS) Services in Five Districts of Taiz Governorate, Yemen,” implemented in partnership with War Child and funded by European Union Humanitarian Aid.

The interventions cover 26 September School, Al-Ma’afer Al-Hajar School, 7 July School in Al-Ahad, Al-Jil Al-Jadeed School, Al-Salihi School in Al-Mahjar, as well as the IDP compensatory education sites in Al-Maysar and ADhakhara.

These interventions aim to improve educational infrastructure and provide safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environments, contributing to improved access to education and school retention for children in the targeted communities.
